Postal Mail Delivery?

If someone sent me mail on Tuesday(through the post office), when will I get it? I am on a college campus so decide about what's the average amount of time! PLease and Thank You!

If it's a letter, it could take 2-10 days.  Remember, a lot of people just mailed their tax returns, so the system could be overflowing with mail.

The average time it takes a piece of first class mail to move between any two given points in the continental US is 2-3 days.  Other factors can come into play but that is the standard for the 20 years that i have worked for the USPS.
