Question

I am selling books on ebay. How do I know what postal service to use and how much the shipping cost should be?

use regular first class mail. when sending books, you can use the 'media' rate, which is cheaper to send books and what not. Go to the United States Postal Service (www.usps.com) and check it out.

Ship Via the USPS and use the media mail rate, it will be cheaper for you to ship,,

If you use USPS, most likely you will use media mail to ship books.  You can ship a higher weight for less cost.  Only downside is the length of time it takes for them to arrive.  They have a shipping calculator to help you figure out what the best method of theirs is best.  You can us the APS (Automated postal service) machine at the post office to get weight estimates or you can invest in a personal scale for home.
