Postal dept. did not pay interest against late payment. i want to lodge complaint on aconsumer court. where?

i had a postal life insurance policy no. BH/774-U. maturity date was 31.12.2005. actual payment was done on 02.06.2007. i want interest & compensation at a flat rate of 5% of the value, which will come to Rs. 2 lacs as on today. whom to apply?

  1. To Chief Post Master of your area.


  2. Write to Post Master General for redressal of your grievance. Keep record of every communication. If you fail to get it redressed then you have the option of approaching the consumer forum. The proceedure has already been mentioned by other members.

  3. You have access to a computer with internet. You can find any answer thru the net with a search engine.

  4. u need to give preliminary evidence in writing, followed by an affidavit in support of your grievances to the district consumer forum.

    if they find some strength in your matter then they will summon both parties for hearing after 15 days
