Posted links won't work?

Often when I post links in a yahoo message using copy and paste the link won't work when clicked on by anyone reading the message. In every case the entire link was successfully copied and pasted. Short links that take only one line in length work fine, but links long enough to run to two or more lines in length never work. Also, only the first line of a link shows in color and all following lines are in black type. So, I'm obviously doing something wrong when I copy and paste links, but I'm currently at a loss to know what. Many thanks to anyone who can tell me how to solve this.

This may not be anything you are doing wrong!  This may just be the problem with your ISP.  Sometimes, the email software causes issues with hyperlink - depending on who you use.

Also, some messages come back from Yahoo! (especially in Daily Digest) they sometimes get disconnected, many times there are extra spaces added in - if the link is still hyperlinked it will work, but if it is not then the extra spaces cause problems when one tries to copy and paste the link text into a browser.

There may not be a fix for this problem!  But, check with your ISP for more help!

You're not doing anything wrong.  I've seen the same problem in some multi-line addresses in Groups I'm a member of.  It's a bug in the formatting of links in messages in Yahoo Groups.  Unfortunately, the only fix is to tell people reading the message to copy the whole multi-line address themselves (including the lines in black) and paste it into the address bar of their browser.
