do u need a permit for posting flyers? i live in New Jersey and i want to put up flyers on "helping the earth". and im not putting any personal information on the flyers except an e-mail address. thnx.

  2. The laws on things like this vary from city to city. I've never seen a city where a permit was required, but some cities have strict limits/restrictions on where you can post flyers. A phone call or visit to the city hall of the town you plant to flyer in would do the trick, or check out their city web site.

    If you are hanging flyers in stores etc with the owner's permission, you are good anywhere.

  3. Besides the above you need to make sure you have the owners/managers permission if posted on private property.  Telephone poles are private in some places as are fences and buildings.  Some places consider posting flyer's as littering others require that you remove them after a certain period of time.  The purpose of the posters is not always a consideration in the regulations.
