  1. Its the rising trot.

  2. Posting is where english riders rise out of the saddle to the 1.2. beat of the trot. You post by the leg closest to the rail in the direction you are riding. You rise on 1 and sit on 2.

  3. Posting trot is when you are riding the horse English (it can be done Western but it's just not as often) and going in a circle. If you are going in a circle to the left, you rise out of the saddle (not in a two point) when the horse's right leg goes forward. If going to the right, you rise when the horse's left leg goes forward. Simple if you get the hang of it.

  4. in english it when you rise when the shoulder closes to the rail is mmoving forward.

  5. posting trot: you rise with the beat of the horse's trot. up, down up down. . . up with the outside foot going forward/out. . . down with it going back/down.

that's the easiest way i can think to explain it.

sitting trot is when you sit and dont rise out of the saddle

  6. in western people don't post they just sit the trot....

in English the rider moves up and down off of the saddle according to the diagonal of the horses shoulders

    hope this helped

  7. its also known as the rising trot when you rise and sit to the outside (i think) diagonal...for example, when the outside foreleg is forward, you rise (but not as high as 2 point) and when it's under the horse you sit...its a way of smoothing out the bumps of the trot

  8. If you have ever tried sitting on a trotting horse you may have found the experience very uncomfortable. The trot can be very bouncy, but there is a way to smooth out the bouncing and jarring. Posting is to rise out of the saddle seat for every other stride of the horse's forelegs, thus smoothing out the jolts you will encounter if you just sit. This makes riding the trot much more comfortable for you and your horse.
