Posting blogs on 360?

i wrote a blog. i get to the bottom where it says to preview or post blog. I hit the preview key and it erased my blog! I rewrote it and was careful NOT to do what i did before. I get to the bottom and saw the same keys. preview (highlighted in blue) and post blog (disabled key). i hit the preview button (as it was my only option) and it went to a blog settings page, but i never could recover either of my blogs. These were my first to post on 360 ever. What did i do wrong? I am so agrivated i typed all that for nothing. Ugh! Thanks for any advice!!!

Oh No! Your very first blog? Oh I am sooo sorry..

Yahoo is just not doing things in a top notch manner these days.. we are going to get a new profile platform some time in my lifetime I think lol.. and they have cut maintenance on the 360 to a bare minimum while they are putting it together.. if you are not familar with what I am talking about.. go up the top of your 360 pages and look for the option.. Yahoo360News and it takes you to their product blog.

Anyway.. I have this happen to me a lot also.. are you familar with the html option we can use on blogs? Probably not.. well I am going to tell you how to save them before you hit that button !

In your windows is a thing called the wordpad if you have microsoft office.. if you don't have that.. then you have notepad which can be found in the acessories menu in your All Programs on your start menu.

When you finish you blog .. on top of the composer is an option HTML  Source with a check box beside it.

put a check in the box and it will change your blog to html code.

Open up you word pad or notepad and then copy the entire code in the composer and then paste it in your word or note pad.

then uncheck the box and try to preview or post it..

if it does this throw away thing again.. just put it back into the composer page and paste code from you word or notepad back into the composer after you have put the check back in the HTML Source box.

then uncheck the box and you blog should change back to regular text and images.

Sometimes it takes a few times for the blog to post.. another tip I can give you that seems to help is under the composer is

The option SHOW OPTIONS .. click it and put a check mark in the option that says HIGHLIGHT THIS ENTRY

Sometimes that will make something click and it will post it.

If you have to save your blog in your word or note pad save it as a RICH TEXT file.. and it will be fine and not lose its formating, so you can try again the next day.

I had this same problem and I emailed Yahoo they said its because they are closing Yahoo 360 next month and the features are closing as with peoples yahoo 360 My yahoo 360 was closed today you can take a look at

they said they are not going to fix anything on yahoo 360 there is no since in it because it is being closed.

They are switching to a new universal profile system so every day they say around 100,000. 360 profiles will be closed and transferred to the new profile system you will not lose anything on your 360 page it will be transferred to the new profile.
