Posting letter to america from england

Do I need any special stamps to send a letter from England to America. Would it be sufficient to use 3 or 4 first class stamps or would i need something else?

Our stamps are just fine but you will have to take it to the Post Office for it to be weighed and have the "air mail" stamp put on...that is if you don't want it going by surface mail.  You need to make sure you have the correct amount of postage or whoever gets the mail in America will have to pay the excess...and I doubt they would be very pleased about that!

why are you bothering you self you have an e-mail right and your friand have one too just send him an e-mail and you can send imges too it is free witout paying any cash think about it

A normal letter up to 20 gm is 81 pence to all destinations outside Europe , 3 first class stamps ok Remenber the blue " air mail " " par avion " sticker ( free at any PO )

If your unsure about stamps, you could go into the post office and they will print off a stamp for the correct amount for you.
