Postman delivers to wrong address, again?

Question

Ok, so I have tracking on a package and it says they attempted to deliver it at 12:45 PM yesterday and a notice was left, but I was home all day. It says it will be redelivered or can be picked up at the post office. Should I just go to the post office as soon as it opens this morning and pick up my package, or risk it getting sent to the wrong address again? This happened before and I had to go pick it up at a house over a mile away from me.

check the address on the top front and call the office 1st to see if the item is still there b-4 u go there. and if u were home  and received the slip in your box then the person was to lazy to go to your door. The Post Office now hires transitional employees with out the proper on the job training, so therefore if your regular carrier is off you may get someone who does not read names or addresses.

go to the post office. make sure you go to the right one or it will be a wasted trip. i don't know why they can't deliver to the right address, i get letters for other people and i don't know how they confuse the address!!! GRRRRR!
