Postponing elections,& declaring W A R ,IS IT A VALID excuse?

CAN that be used by BUSH to stay as PRESIDENT.

Never happen... And, guess what, we have been at war before. The extent to which some of you people hate Bush is truly amazing.

Edit: You can post all the links to articles about the possibility of war you want. The reality is... The possibility DOES exist of another war, but that doesn't in any way support your contention that it is some mad scheme by Bush to stay in power. That's just tinfoil hat and black helicopter thinking.

It was done before.  I believe it was the first world war.  Whoever was president at that time had his term extended when he implemented a special policy.  I don't think it will happen this time as the current status of the American military is not engaged in a world war.  They are currently engaged in an illegal occupation of one country and a minor conflict in another.  That's not severe enough for Bush to implement that policy to extend his term.
