Postscript to steal the Duralock Fencing Handicap
The Class 4 Duralock Fencing Handicap has brought together quite a few entries who have raced at Sandown during the current season, however not all of them have been able to become the strongest link on the line-up with the exception of, My Lord, who claimed
a race there in July.
The mile and 14 yard race today at Sandown will be contested by thirteen three-year and above runners who will try their luck with the £4,528 prize money that has been promised to the winner.
One of the candidates who was not only strong with the rankings but was stable too, is the four-year-old chestnut gelding, Postscript. He has raced nine times during the 2012 season and has won at four occasions.
The Irish chestnut gelding made the most out of the seasonal debut on 6th January, 2012 in the Play Da Vinci Diamonds At Bluesq.Com/Games Handicap at Wolverhampton over a mile and half a furlong.
The favourite winner was ridden by jockey, Jamie Spencer, as the two edged past the runner-up, Justcallmehandsome, by a length.
The Ian Williams’ trained compromised on the form for the next two starts and then struck a back-to-back.
The four-year-old won the Hotel & Conferencing At Wolverhampton Handicap on 2nd March, 2012 at Wolverhampton over a mile and one and a half furlong. With Franny Norton onboard, they defeated McCool Bannanas by the margin of 1 ¾ lengths.
The favourite entry of the race, Honey Of A Kitten, ended third in the field of eight.
Postscript then landed the Digging, Lifting, Rolling With Ambrose Hire Handicap on 13th June, 2012 at Haydock over a mile. This time he went through the wire with, Jamie Spencer, as the two dodged the second best, Lindoro, by 1 ¾ lengths.
Filling in the third spot was the favourite entry, First Post.
The only attempt of the Dr. Marwan Koukash owned at Sandown was in the Racing Post Form With Totepool Mobile Handicap on 25th July, 2012 over a mile. He ended third as the race was won by the most favoured candidate of the race, Jacob Cats.
He is supported by 11 to 2 odds today for being the best in the race.
