The advisability of indoor growing depends on the aggreeable nature of those with whom you share living quarters. Also, there is the matter of neighbors, should you reside in an apartment or condominium. The smell will permeate most structures. Air movement devices such as fans  may redirect the air,  but the smell has to go somewhere, and "somewhere" usually translates as that nosy lady 2 doors down.

Indoor growing is really the only way to go to obtain a superior quality item. Much equipment and planning in the way of controlled lighting, heat, fertilization and ventilation, and timers to orchestrate all of the preceding are a vital requisite.

It is unclear as to whether the picture you are requesting is of the product "on the hoof",  unstripped from the stem, or just harvested and in the drying process, or the finished item packaged for market.

Yes, if you grow a large amount it does smell. An ounce of weed is about half a sandwich baggy.

Your best bet would most likely be to find a website that is strictly for the concerns of your questions. Unfortunately this is not neccesarilly the best place to be asking such questions.

Just do a google search on growing or something. I personally grow Tomato's. Not to mention i'm allergic to pot lol. True story. Makes me vomit every single time i ever tried it. So i figured Tomato's are healthier. and i can even show them off to the neighbors lol.

Try testing out your green thumb with Legal things. Look into growing flowers, fruits, vegetables. See how that goes for you. Then determine if you tihnk growing pot is something you could even do.

I have heard it costs about 400 dollars JUST for the lights. Not to mention ventilation, Co2, Water, Nutrients, etc. Thats alot of money down the drain. AND, what if you get caught? The legal ramifications to growing illegal substances is very nasty. Spend that money on something that will give you legal pleasure.

First of all, growing marijuana is quite an endeavor. You have to buy some complex watering, light, and fan systems. If done properly, you can vent the air around the plant through a filter or something like that and minimize the smell. It isn't as simple as just sticking  a seed you found in your schwag in a pot, then sitting back and watching it. Look to spend AT LEAST $100 on equipment and thats on the cheap side.

As to a picture of half an ounce, you can't really just eyeball it. It's about weight, not a volume. Weed can be really dense and sticky, or really loose 'shake'.
