Question:

Potential HPV? (This is coming from a guy fyi)?

Here's the deal. My (new) girlfriend and I are in our mid 20's. Started dating about 3-4 months ago. We are just now starting to become sexual and while "exploring" her I ran my finger across a small growth on her vaginal wall about the size of a pea, and a smaller one about the size of a pin head an inch or so from it. Obviously this is something a gyno would catch, although it is somewhat off to the side. Should I urge her to get it checked out? I'm assuming it's HPV, and she just has symptoms, though the reason I am posting this on the Women's Health board is because I am not fully aware of feminine conditions that could cause this and I just may be over reacting. Also, does anyone think this is an urgent matter? I'd rather wait for an oppurtune moment to mention it without sounding like I'm disgusted / freaked out / etc.... Thanks in advance!

  1. Well you may be right, and you should probably let her know about it since she may not be aware there is any problem. But at the same time, you need to be aware that the v****a is not a 100% smooth and perfect surface, they ca be quite bumpy inside, especially the first few centimetres, every girl is different, and what you percieve to be genital warts could in fact just be normal. But good on you for not being all disgusted.
