Potential candidates line-up for the Royal Scots EBF Fillies’ Handicap
There is a single entry in the line-up of the Class 3 Royal Scots EBF Fillies’ Handicap who has been striving to maintain a certain level of consistency, the three-year-old bay filly, Miss Ellany. The mile race will be held at Musselburgh on Sunday, 30th
September. The prize money at stake is £8,093.
The Irish bay filly has been active five times during the 2012 campaign.
Her seasonal debut turned into the seasonal debut success. The David O’Meara trained bagged the £2,393.53 prize money of the Rotalla – tyregiant.com Maiden Stakes on 13th June, 2012 at Beverley over 7 ½ lengths.
Coupled with jockey, Daniel Tudhope, she defeated, Gladsome, by the margin of six lengths.
Her very recent outing after clearing the maiden was in the Follow Us On Twitter @ Catterickraces Handicap on 4th July, 2012 at Catterick over seven furlongs.
The favourite entry ended as the runner-up after missing the winning spot by the margin of six lengths. The race was won by, Dr Red Eye.
Taking the third position behind the winner was, No Quarter.
After striking two third positions in a row, Kodiac’s daughter out of, Rainbowskia, shot in the second success of the season. She claimed the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Fillies’ Handicap on 18th August, 2012 at Ripon
race course over a mile and two furlongs.
Miss Ellany is backed by 3 to 1 odds for the race today, and will race with the regular jockey, Daniel Tudhope. The bay filly has drawn the third stall to race from.
Another entry who is a bright prospect for the event is the four-year-old bay filly, No Poppy.
Her most recent race was in the John Smith’s Handicap on 22nd September, 2012 at Ayr race course over seven furlongs. The race was won by, Common Touch, who was paired up with jockey, Frederik Tylicki.
Just at the margin of 2 ½ lengths, it was No Poppy, mount for jockey, Paul Mulrennan, finished second.
If she stays by her tuned up form today too, there are quite high chances of her taking back the prize money to the connections.
