Potentiale likely to claim White Rose Saddlery Amateur Riders´ Handicap (Div I)
Potentiale is likely to do well in the White Rose Saddlery Amateur Riders´ Handicap (Div I) at Beverley in England on Thursday, August 16, 2012. A victory in the class-6 event will earn him a cash prize of £1,560 in the end.
The bookmakers have given the best odds to Heroine Chic, despite the fact that she has never won any race in her career. She also lacks experience compared to some of the other runners, as she has only participated in a dozen races. Although, her performances
in a few of them have been impressive, yet it will be difficult for her to attract the maximum number of bets from the punters.
On the other hand, Potentiale has got a very good chance of winning the sixth race of his career. Victories have not come his way over the past couple of seasons, which is a worrying sign. Despite that, the seasoned runner cannot be ruled out of contention
and he has a solid chance of breaking the shackles today.
Beverley has proved to be a lucky track for the eight-year-old gelding, as he has done well here in the past. He first raced at this venue in 2007 and was given a starting price of 20 to 1 by the bookies. Although, no one expected him to be fighting for
victory, yet he was extremely quick and prevailed by one length in the end.
This victory was quite an important one for the J. W. Hills’ trainee, as it was the first one of his career. He had participated in a few events prior to that, but was unable to catch the attention of anyone because of his lacklustre showings.
After his success, the Irish runner took part in one more race at Beverley and was highly competitive in it. He failed to win the event back then, but still had the speed to finish as a runner up in the end.
These were the only two occasions, when Potentiale appeared at this venue. He has got another chance of making his team proud on this track and young jockey, Mr Edward Sibbick, will be helping him out to achieve his goal.
