Do any other Potterians plan on buying this when it's released?

I know it's buying into JK's publicity machine, but God I love Harry Potter.

Perhaps one day I'll grow out of it... nah

  1. I WILL SO BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... JK Rowling gives a lot of money to charity too. You should get Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Though the Ages.

  2. I prefer Pottermaniac, but hey whatever works! Yes I'm planning on getting Tales of Beedle the Bard, agreeing with whoever mentioned Babbitty Rabitty:) One day I'll get 'Quidditch Through the Ages' and 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.' I read the prequel, it was really funny. But who were the three people on brooms chasing James and Sirius? I couldn't figure that out.

By the way, it's not buying into the publicity, you're an honest fan who's been with Harry for years, and JK is an awesome author with a great idea. Besides, all proceeds go to charity.

I just wish I could get the special edition from Amazon, that would be amazing. I'm just getting the standard though. We all have our dreams :)

  3. I'm definitely buying it :D I was so excited when I found out it was going on sale to the public!

  4. Of course! After I finished DH I had nothing to read!! I'm so excited for it to come out.

  5. Actually, I heard that J.K Rowling is only making seven copies and selling a few for charity and giving the rest to her family. So, I don't think any of us will be able to buy the book. I hope it was just a rumor. Lol

  6. Well, I want to , but I'llbe living in a university-owned boxroom by then and living off a tin of beans a day, so it might be difficult. Also, I'm leaving my HP books behind for my brother to read, so I won't exactly have a full collection. But you never know, I might just wander into WHSmith's one day, and buy it.

I think it would be interesting to read the tales behind Deathly Hallows. And I really want to know what "Babbity Rabbity and Her Cackling Stump" is about!

EDIT: Thankyou, thankyou, THANKYOU for posting the link to the prequel. I've been looking for it for months!

  7. Of COURSE! I am definitely going to buy the book when it comes out, but I'm really sad that the movie was pushed back to next summer. But everyone should still go see the Twilight movie coming out in November!

  8. It's getting realeased in early december I think. I've already got a preorder from walmart.com.

  9. I´m definitely buying it!! I can´t seem to grow out of it either lol

I have no idea of when its released but I read somewhere that most of the profits will go to charity so it will be money well spent

  10. hey, I'm a fan, yore a fan, of course I'm buying it, it is Harry Potter, and we need something this fall because of the movie, and besides it is for charity anyway

  11. I'm not sure that I'm a "Potterian", but I have already pre-ordered the book.

  12. Most definity.  All the proceeds supposedly go to charity.  But yeah I love Harry Potter too and I don't ever plan to grow out of it.  Still disappointed with the last book, she just didn't end as well as the other books, especially because she's not writing another one.  There were so many unanswered questions and really didn't give any closure to the series.  Still love the series though.

  13. I already pre-ordered my copy from Amazon.

God help me, I adore HP as well.  It's addictive, really.

  14. They were originally only making a handful of copies, but it's getting a wider release around Decemebr time.

I expect I shall buy it. I haven't yet found anything to fill the Potter-shaped hole in my soul, and I enjoy Rowling's work. Plus I can almost guarantee it'll be half-price in my local chain bookstore at some point over the Christmas period. XD

  15. i might.

  16. already have it pre-ordered! i wanted the really nice one thats like 100 dollars, but i dont have enough money. :-[ so i got the other one. i cant wait to get it! i also ordered fantastic beasts and where to find them and quidditch through the ages on ebay. XD

  17. i think not - i'll just be disappointed by the fact that all my favourite characters aren't in it. no doubt it will be brilliant but its not 'harry potter' is it. also have you tried quidditch throught the ages - i havnt but if you have and liked that then you should like this book x x x
