My daughter is 2yrs 5mo. She's been doing this potty training business very well the last two weeks but one thing. She can't quite figure out how to wipe after #1&2. Is there any ideas that might help her learn. I've tried showing by example on myself, herself and letting her help wipe our 13mo old at diaper changes but she hasn't gotten it unless she lays down (she can wipe her self if she's getting changed after an accident but only lying down) I'm so proud of her progress she hasn't had an accident in 5 days and I haven't had any issues with her going potty please help

  1. Try letting her use wet ones!! That helped my kids!! Sometimes it just takes a little longer because they do have short little arms!! Just keep working with her lol it takes time!! My daughter use to have accidents then wipe it on the walls lol so your doing really well!! It's hard but we survive!!

  2. You kid's only 2 yrs? You are good at this. She still has not got the concept of flexing her arms the right way yet. Besides, if she does it correctly, she may not know how to do it cleanly.

  3. I think this is just something that they learn with time.  My 2 1/2 year old has the same same problem.  My older daughter seemed to pick it up around 3.

  4. Well i say you wipe her for a little while and soon she will catch on as well!!

My 1 boy is being potty trained and i wipe him and he gets 2 m&M's for p**p and 1 M&M's for peeing and he doesnt wipe himself so that is good methods too

She will catch on to you doing it sometimes have her hold ur hand while doing it for her
