  1. i have 4 children and only one of those ever used the potty. The rest prefered the toilet trainer seats and a step. That made them feel really grown up. With my eldest boy i used to give him a little treat every time he did something in the toilet. That really encouraged him. maybe try the trainer seat. Some children just prefer them

    Good luck

  2. Any chance that the one child of yours that was difficult to train is also this child's parent?  LOL

I am trying to train my daughter after successfully training 2 boys, I think the boys are easier.  Cheerios in the toilet bowl worked great for target practice.

  3. Be calm with him. The worst thing you can do is get angry or punish him. Make it fun. For my son, I got a blank piece of paper and wrote "Noah's Potty Chart" on it. Then I let him color it. I taped it up in the bathroom right above his toilet and every time he pees he gets to put one sticker anywhere on the sheet. If he goes #2 and pee he gets to put 2 stickers on the sheet. He is starting to come around and thinks it is fun to get the stickers. Try that.

    Hope that helps!

  4. average age a boy is potty trained in 3 1/2 yrs old. I just recently potty trained my son who is 34 months. it was a tough road. we did the chart thing 1 sticker for pee and 2 for poo. we also bought character stickers to decorate his potty chair and seat. praised every time. was firm and he realized he was not gonna get a diaper on again. make it fun and rewarding. also devote a whole week to this and not allowing him to go anywhere the whole week. keep at it it will happen

  5. i have never had a kid, but i remember when my mom was potty training my brother. she would hang a wood board in the bathroom and staple little bags of fruit gummies (which he loved) on the board and whenever he went to the bathroom he would get an adult to pull one off for him. of course you have to put them up high so he can't pull the bags off whenever he wants to. when he was good at going #1, he would only get a bag of fruit gummies when he went #2 (which was hard for him). it seemed to work well. i agree that potty seats and steps help.

  6. this is just part of a really great website i found for you!! i hope this helps! i have heard potty training is hard. hopefully tihs will help you out. go to the link i have for you in whats your source. it will take you to the full page!!

Potty training is a big deal. Here's what you need to know about timing, technique and handling the inevitable accidents.Potty training is a big deal for parents and kids alike. The secret to success? Patience. Perhaps more patience than you ever imagined.

    Ready, set, go!

When you decide it's time to begin potty training, set your child up for success. Start by maintaining a sense of humor and a positive attitude. Then:

    Pull out the equipment

    Schedule potty breaks.

    Get there — fast

    Consider incentives

    Be consistent

    Ditch the diapers

    Treat mistakes lightly

    Sleep soundly

Know when to call it quits.

  7. My brother was a pain to train.  My mom tried everything under the sun.  Finally one day my moms friend was over and had a glass of water sitting on the floor next to her so my brother walked right up and pull out his winkee and cut loose.  He was peeing in a circle (quite funny) and once the pee hit the cup and made a weird noise he stopped turning in the circle and aimed for the cup.  So then my mom put stuff in the potty chair that either made noise or just entertained him while he peed.  An example pieces of dog food so he has something to aim at.

Just remember to make sure it is something that can be flushed.
