Pound to the dollar rate?

hi guys im going to florida next april and just got back this may and the pound dollar conversion rate was something like 1.97 just around the two dollar mark but ive noticed the dollar has got a little stronger and its something like 1.87 now,i know no one can guess but does anyone know the forecast of whether the pound will get weaker with all this recession talk going on as america are suffering the same thing arent they,just thinking about whether to get my dollars now?.

any advice would be great cheers glen

    The dollar got "stronger", if you want. Well, actually it did not, because in this case the Dollar should as well have more value when exchanged for the Euro, but that's not the case (1 Euro = 1.4658 U.S. dollars, so the Euro is coming closer to the Pound now). So it's rather the BP who's dropping the value here.
