  1. Actually poverty can be reduced.  In the United States many people who are classified as poor have more to work with than previous generations have dreamed of.  Enemies within the United States who have hijacked public schools, media and other institutions to weaken us at the family level have been pretty effective.  If you doubt it read the questions on answers and ask yourself what those people would do with a million dollars.  They would be poor again very quickly.  I don't fault them.  The idea of the enemy is to keep us from the genuine tools of learning that are necessary for a people to govern themselves.

  2. Because our tax system is set up to benefit the rich to begin with.  Lack of education is another reason.  Those who refuse to stay in high school and go on to college or those who cannot afford college period.  Health issues that prevent some of us from working-the cost of healthcare on top of that.

  3. Mental illness occurs at a fairly constant rate.  Mental illness is the cause for many people being unable to function in structured society.

  4. Simple!

Our collective, instiable greed far out weighs our collective desire to sacrifice for others.

We are taught to be independent and work for ourselves.

The doctrine promotes individualism versus society, to a point in which the society cannot help itself as a unit.

This is the reason why we have so many problems as a whole nation.

  5. One word: Inflation.

  6. It can, if you give poor people a hand up (e.g.. a way out of poverty), and not just a hand out (e.g. a monthly check)!  This was the main flaw in LBJ's famous "War On Poverty" back in the 1960's, and the source of many of today's urban problems.

  7. "Too many, too many people ,making too many problems, and there's not much left to go round" Land of Confusion. Basically, people are greedy and they can't keep it in their pants. The rich want to be richer and for that to be the poor have to get poorer. Also everybody keeps getting pregnant. Rapes all over. This world is ******.It hasn;t brought me enough to joy for me to say I want to be alive, becasue I don't ,I'm just a coward.

  8. With exceptions for people who have mental or physical problems, laziness and fear of success are what keep people poor..  I'm sorry but I don't buy any of this c**p about being kept down or it's societies faulth.  Blah, blah, blah.  It's all c**p.  The reason we have people in poverty is because they are either lazy and want to be where they are or because they are afraid to try.  I have the perfect example, my mother and father.  My mother dropped out of high school, but later went on to get her GED.  My father only has an eighth grade education, because when he was younger his father died and he had to drop out so he could work and help support his mother and brothers, yet they now own a company which is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars now.  Don't get me wrong, I didn't grow up with money.  He has only built up this company within the last ten years or so and that was well after I moved out.  I grew up poor or what people would call poor.  My father is one of the hardest working men that I have ever met and most of his life he worked at your normal nine to five jobs making enough to keep the families head above water but barely.  It was the same with my mom.  She was also working at a job, where it was just a week to week paycheck.  They were able to establish good credit again after s******g it up once and one day they decided to take a chance because of the urging of my mother.  He got a loan and started his own business.  He started out working at it every weekend on top of his nine to five job, with my mother doing most of the management.  Eventually because of the excellent quality of his work, his attitude towards customers and my mother management skills they had built up a base of customers where they were able to quit their nine to five jobs and devote themselves entirely to the business.  Today, as i have said, their business is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.  All of this has been accomplished by two high school drop outs with three kids.  Would I have not witnessed this, I might have bought into the excuses where people blame it on this or that, but you know what?  They are just excuses and anyone who wants to make it in this country can.  Every day immigrants show up on our shores with only a few dollars in their pockets, yet within a few years most of them are doing extremely well.  The problem in this country is that people think opportunities should be handed to them.  They have become lazy.  If you want something out of life, you have to go after it.  It isn't going to come find you.  Only a very lucky few happen into riches.
