Question:

Powdered baby formula - question about mixing?

It's been a few years since I've had an infant but I've recently started keeping a friend's 10 week old. She is using the powdered formula for him but I've forgotten if you add the water to the ounce line and then the powder or if you put the powder in first and then add the water to the ounce line. I know it only makes a little difference but I seem to remember it being stressed to me to make sure it is mixed correctly. Thanks!

  1. I add the water first, then the formula, less clumping at the bottom.

  2. To get the correct amount of ounces you should put the water first.  Good luck!

  3. My boyfriend always did the formula first, but I have always done the water first. It is easier to measure the water accurately if its done first so you can pour out any extra. I don't think it really makes any difference.

  4. Water FIRST!!

It does make a difference. If you put in the powder first, the water amount isnt accurate.

  5. water first then the milk powder.

be sure to count correctly as once its added if you loose count your stuck!

  6. WATER FIRST, 2 OZ TO 1 SCOOP

  7. Water first, then powder is what I do.  :)

  8. Add the water to the amount of ounces you want. Then pour the anount of formula to the water after it is already measured. If you add the formula first it will clump at the bottm and not mix well.
