Power Anti-virus 2009?!

I downloaded this program because it said I had files that were infected... I was afraid that it was true, so I downloaded the power anti-virus program, but I didn't buy it yet because I realized it was a scam... I can't find it to uninstall it from my control panel... Is there any way i can get rid of it permanently? I don't want the annoying thing in my computer... Any help is appreciated... Thank you.

  1. Follow the procedure here:

  2. Anti-virus 2009 is a fake program that ensures you that you got 10-15 Trojans, but what it maintains is a fraud. Anytime you get an error saying you have spyware, and it shows you a download any accessions, it means you got spyware. These programs copy themselves into your Processor & system32 files, and they are usually undetected. If they are detected, they are NOT removed fully, they are still located in your registry with errors, that take a heck to remove. So, we need some reg removers, and some anti-viruses.

    Firstly we will need "CleanMyPC"

    http://www.registry-cleaner.net/

    You can download it above.

    Then we will need

    http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/dow...

Scan with both of them @ the same time.

Then restart your computer and remove whatever was with the virus, this can be located @ c:/windows/program files

Find the spyware name, and delete it, Goto your trash bin, right click and press "Empty recycle bin"

If you didn't empty it, it would still be there, but in a different location.

    Good luck.

  7. the best and safest way to do it would be to install avast and superantispyware. i wouldn't recommend that you do it manually since you will have to fiddle with your registry and .dll files

run and scan with avast and superantispyware , they should help

PS: never download any antivirus that scans your computer online without your permission AND never download any antivirus program that sounds fake. like antivirus xp or super antivirus or power antivirus
