  1. power capasiter for what _ capasters help keep a hevy flow of power all the time.

  2. basicly A cap holds a charge and keeps your amp running at the same current, instead of straining your battery It's just like you putting on a back pack full of marbles and someone behind you holding the back pack up to relieve less stress on you. you should have a input and out put, put your 12v source and neg or ground in the cap and in the output attach to your amp. It's a stage before your amp to keep it's currents.

  3. Both are wrong.

A capacitor is only good so far as the audio system isn't trying to pull too much from the electrical system. A cap doesn't provide more power, it's designed to 'stiffen' the voltage to the amp, nothing else. If the current isn't there, a cap won't help.

The alternator must have at least 20% more amperage power than the entire vehicle and sound system combined for a cap to be of benefit which is ironically the same requirements for an amp to be efficient.

  4. I am thinking you have subs, otherwise you would not need a capacitor.A capacitor store some kind of voltage and feeds your system whenever it draws power from your battery, for example when your bass hits ,sometimes your amp trips or somtimes the lights on your amp dims,a cap would prevent this but only on one condition if your battery is good(not weak)and your alternator is in  properly working condition.Once you get your cap hook up to your system, you will defintely hear a sound improvement  in your system especially your bass. Its quite easy to install ,what you do is hook it the negative(ground) side on the cap to the  black wire(ground) which hooks up to your amp and hook the positive side of the cap to the positive wire from the battery.

heres some diagrams of installation to make it easier for you
