Power. Just opened the coffee maker, plugged it in, got ready to prime. The thing won't stop

Just opened the coffee maker, plugged it in, got ready to prime. The thing won't stop flashing NOT READY. The only way to get it to stop flashing is to unplug it. None of the other buttons work...what a piece of junk. Help.
