Power Steering Pump Oil reservoir can throwing oil from top?

Question

My Power Steering was working fine but when I add oil in the reservoir till the marked level. The steering works ok but throwing some oil from the top of the cap, The cap and its washer is also ok. When the oil is low it stop throwing oil but the steering is little hard.

IF I USE IT WITH LOW OIL OR NO OIL, WILL IT DAMAGE THE STEERING BOX OR THE STEERING SYSTEM.

it can be air bound... dont run it low

yes itll damage it..just keep it at a level where it works ok and doesnt spray and u should be fine,,steve

there are two levels.hot and cold.
