i'm moving to brazil this summer, and I have an Xbox 360 Entertainment system from the US that operates on 105~125V and 50~60Hz. Is the power/voltage/whatever you would call that in brazil the same? ive lost many xboxes and i dont want to lose another. And i havent found power transformers to be very reliable..

  1. It depends on city. I'm from Sao Paulo and it's ~110V/60Hz here. That's usually the same voltage in the most place of Brazil, but there are few cities that operates on ~220V/60Hz. By the way, you will need to buy a plug adapter, because our plug (two poles) is different than American plug. And welcome to Brazil. Hope you enjoy my country.

P.S.: Rio de Janeiro operates on ~110V/60Hz.

  2. i know that the voltage is mostly ~110V (though some outlets can be ~220V, but that's usually indicated) as for the frequency i'm not so sure, but i think it's the same

    good luck :)
