  1. Not sure what kind of adapter you will need but you will be able to pick one up in any electric store

And yes that is all you will need for your computer to work

  2. hi you

we have  220 here in Ireland you will need a adaptor to bring it down to 110 also just like the UK you will a 3 pin adaptor plug here to in Ireland so putting it basically what you would need for in the UK you will here in Ireland to were the exact same

  3. You don't need a power adapter for your macbook or any appliance that already has a built-in adapter in its lead (that sort of box in the middle of the lead). Also, Ipods, cell phones etc will work fine. You will just need a plug adapter - the sockets here are the same as the UK (here is a picture: http://www.davecarthy.com/images/x10/105... Even if you don't find one in the US, you'll definitely find one at the airport as soon as you land. Keep in mind that you would also need a power adapter if you want to use appliances like a hairdryer or some hair straighteners, radios etc... the voltage here is 220.

  4. You can get it in the airport,

    Looks like this

  5. You can buy a travel adaptor at the airport - we use three pin plugs in Ireland whereas you probably have two pin.  Just be careful when you're buying because apart from the UK and Ireland most European countries also use two pin but they're a different size to the US one.  Hope you enjoy your trip - you're laptop shouldn't be a problem as lots of Irish buy US laptops cos they're much cheaper there than here!
