Power button on the wii...

Question

my friend has a wii too, and when they turn theirs off the light goes to red. Mine just goes to orange. What is it supposed to be?

If its red, how come mine doesn't turn red

Well There are possible reason mine turns yellow after its off Because of my wifi connection. You should check your wii manual or whatever they call it and see I checked mine at one point cause the wii was flashing blue it turns out it was just mail. Ok I'm checkng the Wii Operations Manual and it says Ok.Orange or Yellow in some must mean you have a wireless or some sort of internet connection if you've use online in games thats what it is mine does it too

When it turns orange, that means it is off, but it is still connected to the internet. Your friend probably doesn't have internet on their Wii, so it just turns off.

And I just like unplugging the power cord when I'm done because I heard on the news that it set someone's house on fire ...... so yeah

When the Wii is turned off, the light will either go to red or yellow.

If the light goes to yellow, that means that the Wii Connect 24 is on and if it turns red that means that the Wii Connect 24 is off.

Wii Connect 24 is the program on wii that lets you do things such as send messages through your wii, send miis to your friends, and let you get updates and messages from nintendo about certain channels you can download, when to update your wii and etc.

Wii connect 24 needs an active internet connection.

So to recap...

Red- Wii connect 24 is disabled.

Yellow- Wii connect 24 is enabled.

I suggest that your friend do everything in his or her power to get the internet hooked up to his wii because the wii is 20 times more fun with the internet.

That means you are on standby mode. Are you connected to Wii Connect 24 if you are then thats why it is orange.
