Question:

Power cell through nuclear excitation?

Is there a way to safely store energy by excitating the nuclei? The nuclei though excitated most not emite radiation of any kind while in excitated state. The energy stored most be some thousands fold the energy that could be stored by chemical bounds in a material with the same mass. At the same time a thousand fold less then that stored in nuclear combustibles. Is there possible to pump energy into the nuclei through very high frequency very high intensity magnetic field? The whole solution must not be nuclear hazardous.

  1. typically excited nuclei release RF upon relaxation, this is done when you recieve an MRI, it is very low energy. This technique would not store much energy at all, much less than a chemical reaction.
