Power/display problems w/ Sanyo 52" plasma?

Question

Whenever I turn the tv on, the power light comes on but there is no visual (screen remains blank). The set remains blank for a few seconds then turns off.

Any ideas as to what may be the problem?

p.s. everything else (dvd, cable...etc) works.

There's two things that can cause your problem....

The power supply board or the Y-Sus board.

Both work together to PRIME the plasma panel....priming is when the panel "gently lights up" before the video is displayed.

If it PRIMES then shuts down, the Y-Sus board is bad.....

If it doesn't PRIME, then it could be either board or BOTH boards....

You might want to hire a TV tech for that test.....
