Power failure and I need to remove tape

Question

My Canon MVX25i has a power failure. It will not recharge the battery and I have tried a fully charged battery and there is no power to the unit. I need to remove the tape but cannot do so without power.Does anyone know how to replace the fuse or get the tape out without power?I would prefer not to send the device to a repair centre as I need to get it fixed quickly.Thanks
