will an 800 watt inverter provide enough power for 1,200 miny lights

  1. Typically 300 mini lites draw about 1 amp.

    given the formula:

    Amps=Watts/Volts

    For example 110 watts/110 volts = 1 amp

    You will need at least 120 watts per 300 lites to give a little headroom on the inverter.

    Unless you are on shore power or keep your batteries charging by running the engine ... you wont stay lighted very long.

  3. It should be fine but it is best to use LED lights because they use less power than standard lights. We have 40meters of rope lights and they run fine off our inverter but it is 2000w we run it for 5-6 hours at a time and it is fine without charging, we have 600ah in 3 agm battery's and a spare 200ah one. You should be fine, merry christmas, have fun with the lights

  6. you will need to read the package on the lights and it should tell you what the total watts are and then you should wire the inverter straight to the battery with the shortest amount of wire that you can and then you should be good
