I live on the central coast, in California (specific enough for you stalkers?) and yesterday, July 2nd and mostly last night at about 5 in the morning, which would be the 3rd now I experienced multiple power outages, they woke me up, my laptop spazing out, our non-loptop computer (whats it called if its not a laptop? is it free standing?) has a back-up battery that beeps every time its needed to let you know its working, so my question is did anyone else experience what happened to my last night? do you know what caused these power outages? sorry this is so long

  1. Depending on were exactly you leave the fires my have been the culprit. If there is a fire near by it could and probably caused the power outage.

Look at the CAL Fire website to see if there is a fire near you.

  2. Fires dear, the transmission lines are purposely de-energized, or the electricity is turned off when there is a fire on the path of transmission...good luck, get flashlight batteries today

  3. There were power lines down in SLO.  Sometimes they have to turn the power on and off several times while making the repairs and re-routing circuits.
