Power outlets and voltage in mexico Resorts?

Hello i am From Canada, wondering if the power outlet and voltage are the same in US and Mexico ? i want to bring my battery charger for my camera

  1. As for the answer above it is not totally correct.  If you measure the voltage in you house you may have any where from 110 to 130 volts.

    60 hertz is what we have in Canada.

    They are the same.


  2. Electricity in Mexico is 127 Volts, alternating at 60 cycles per second. If you travel to Mexico with a device that does not accept 127 Volts at 60 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter.

    Most outlets in Mexico are the same as the states.

  3. I have a house in Playa del Carmen and one in the US.  I bring electrical appliances from the US, including electronic stuff, and just plug them into the wall the way I do at home.  There are times when electricity spikes in Playa, so it's a good idea to connect through a fused connector ( the grey strip of contacts that you can buy at almost any office supply, hardware, or Walmart-type store.
