Power supply doesn't seem to supply power to...

Question

Everything was working fine, until the cord got snagged on my foot but i caught it before it pulled the computer. Then after that even when the power supply was plugged in, the computer still ran off of battery power until it ran out. I don't think it's a problem with the laptop rather, the cord and/or power supply itself.
