Power window problems on 1997 chevy venture van

Question

passenger side widow goes down but not up. A new motor was installed but only goes down. I think when you push the switch forward the window should go up but it goes down pushing forward. Drivers side is sluggish and goes up and down but forward on the switch makes the window go down.
