  1. The power band is not something you add or buy.  It is the optimum performance engine RPM range.  The sweat spot where the engine performs its best.

With a 2 stroke engine, this is usually in the upper RPM range from 5000 RPM to red line.  However, this varies between make and model of the engine.

  2. your friendly local dealer might have them in stock

    usually they are cheap

pretty much like trail or ski slope markers

green for easy, blue for intermediate, black for fast

  3. On an 80cc the power band is what the hampsters run on to power the bike.

The wider the power band , the more hampsters will fit.

You are best to choose the most athletic hampstes you can find , especially if you plan to race.

  4. the "power band" is just a range of RPM that your bike has the most power...

for example, my CBR has the bulk of it's powerband between 8 and 10 thousand rpm
