its about the negative portrayal of women in the media...

Large eyes, Full lips, defined cleavage, tight thighs, large backside.

We are constantly being bombarded by images of the ‘ideal’ female body type. The current message being ingrained into our heads is: ‘thin is beautiful’

this si what i've got so far..

does voluptuous bottom sound right or large backside..??

  1. I'm not sure either would lend you credibility to the content of your paragraph. Your leading sentence sounds like an ad for a s*x phone service or something and not at all about thin being beautiful. I see what you're getting at but maybe an approach that depicts what you're talking about. Instead of describing the female body, list the media instruments that are depicting women in this way. Such as music videos, runway models, beauty pagents (even those with small girls) as well as commercials for girls clothing! I believe your description of the female anatomy will only serve to make the reader think of that and not the intent you mean to get across.

  2. I think you haven't done your research:

    Are you talking about the sexual objectification of women?

    About self-objectification?

    Curves = Fat.

    Women naturally have more body fat then men.

    Fat is not the problem.  Skinny is the problem.  The anorexic runway models are the problem.  They look like WWII Concentration Camp survivors.  Every so often one drops dead when her body can't take it any more.

  3. Everybody look at me! Ha ha made you look!

  4. I tend to agree - if you are wanting an introduction I would consider a multimedia introduction. Perhaps some knock out versus a 'average' woman. As for wording, when you think of negative portrait - creamy curves, tantalizing curvature with high points all her own.....(you get the idea here)

  5. The 1st one, voluptuous..
