Pplz help, i used the wrong fertilizer and now my front yard is dead!?

ok there are lots of big spots of dead grass, you know yeloow and dried up. so what should i do?

  1. It could be grubs, so lift a patch and see if you find any.  If not just over seed the spots


  2. you could use a technique that Gardiner's call flushing water the spots with allot of water to flush the fert out of the soil and don't give it any more fert in that spot you should buy a good organic fert like bat guano that is high in nitrogen and about half as much potassium and phosphorus as nitrogen. this is dew to the fact that grass does not flower or produce buds. for green leafy growth use a fert that is high in nitrogen..   it will have a N/P/K rating on the package. something like 10/5/5 or something similar will do fine. but the most important part is flush the soil Intel it has no more of what killed it. I like to use bat guano beacuse it is like a time relece fert and you don't have theproblemm of over doing it. the reason is it is not instantly bio avalible to the plants. Witch means that it needs to biodegrade befor it is usible for the plant so only a small amount of the nutreance is avaliible to the plant at any one time. and then over the next few months it contiues to biodegrade and provide nutreance for your lawn.
