I am having 30 plus house guests labor day weekend at my country house. it is rural. with a well and septic. Some people will be camping with tents, some with campers, There is an "outhouse" for the men to use. I need to make an outdoor shower. I have a portable one I was going to bring there and hook it up to a hose and throw the hose up onto the tin roof of the house for warm water. it is in sunshine. do you think it will be ok? My husband is going to make an enclosure around it big enough for a dressing area also. Do you think I will need an outdoor sink as well? I have one, but need to bring it there also. it can be hooked up to a hose, or gravity fed with a bucket filled with water. I need some ideas. I am worried that the small bathroom in the house and the septic cannot handle that amount of people. I'd hate for a backup or something to spoil the good time.

  1. The hose won't be enough hot water.   Get some more water ready ahead of time, perhaps in some dark clean trash barrels sitting in the sun.  Have a pail with a half lid with holes that they can dip into the barrels to get warm water, and then hang on a hook in the enclosed area and tip over as needed so the water falls out of the holes in a shower effect.
