Practice Contacts? (Please answer)

Were can I get or buy a pair of contacts to practice taking in and out? My mom won't buy them unless she knows I can put them in... so you see my delima. HELP!!

  1. Contacts are prescription-only.  That said, any Dr who is giving someone contacts to try for the first time will give you many trial pairs to play with and will train you on how to put them in and take them out.  No Dr is going to let you out of their office until they're satisfied that you can at least get them in and out 2-3 times in their office.

    .  It took me about a month to become truly proficient with them and it still takes 2-3 tries per eye at times.   They now give contact lenses to kids as young as 8 years old and they're managing it without a problem.  


  2. You have to go to your eye doctor.

    They have you practice right there and they won't let you leave until you prove to them that you can put them in and take them out. Don't worry, it takes a long time the first time. You can also ask them for some practice lenses to take home until you think you're ready and they can give you samples of those colored contacts to try.
