i run and jump rope etc , in boxing your going to put alot of stress on your whole body so i am not going to try to avoid any specific excercise. I was wondering if their something i can do besides massage the muscles around the shins to get the pain to come down?

  1. Jump rope on a soft surface, do your running on grass, not pavement.

Massage, and ice your legs after training.

Take Advil or another anti inflammatory.

    Stretch before and after exercise.

  2. stop running the wrong way. I had the same problem when I ran until I learned I was running the wrong way. For sprints you need to be completely on the balls of your feet and for running long distance you need to be running more on the mid-section of the balls of your feet. one thing you should never do is run flat footed. for jumping rope to never jump flat footed, always stay on the balls of your feet. also stretch after ever time you train. yoga is great for boxers. avoid taking anything for pain unless you are told to by a doctor or are in excruciating pain
