  1. No, running is like weight lifting (if you know what I'm talking about)

You don't get faster when you run faster. You get faster when you RECOVER from the faster running.

For example, running 4 miles at 5 minutes per mile every day is not going to get you to run faster. It will acutally slow you down and could lead to injury.

But running 4 miles at 5 minutes per mile twice a week, with recovery running in between and one day a week off, will help you improve. But you must eat right, rest, and recover.

Know for the weight lifting example.

You don't get stronger when you are lifting the weights. All lifting does is, it breaks down and "stretchs" your muscles. Thats the feeling of sorness. When you eat the right foods, get good sleep and stretch, your body recovers and rebuilts the muscles and thats when you get stronger.....same idea with running.

Never to get cramp or burn as it will hurt your legs and will reoccur in practises.  Always do it right from start and turn it into a good habit to follow.

  3. usually when you get cramp you are over doing it

when you burn it can sometimes mean you are using muscles that sometimes are not used regulary

  4. No, not really, but it depends on the type of person you are. It does affect your endurance/stamina - it will improve. Don't overdo it, though. You may end up with a hyper-extended muscle. Hyper-extensions hurt horribly. Hope this helps! :)
