  1. They mostly have cognitive delays and they have no way of controlling their appetite.

First thing i'd suggest is using the child's food as a reward so that they have some motivation. Keep in mind what the child is able to understand. you may need to adapt the material to use symbols of some sort like photos or even real objects.

  2. familiar people Id-

flashcards with pictures of familiar people-

    mommy daddy

    siblings

    teacher

    child

    etc..

  3. This is a difficult task but think of all you already have available to you.  These children need help with their behavior and they also have poor vision . Focus on ways of teaching basic coping skills they need for everyday function in the community.  A behavioral approach such as token reward system does help I have a lot of ideas but wanted to get this to you.  I altered many of the normal lesson plans to fit the child's needs.  It helps to have an aide for one on one assistance at all times.  Good Luck and enjoy the child they are full of joy and want to express their happiness most of the time It is when they are denied something when they are out of control so I focused on the /Behavioral/token system as a means when the tantrums would start and it helped to stop or at least maintain them.
