Prakash Amritraj and Jeff Dadamo journey into the second qualifier – Tiburon Challenger 2012 
Prakash Amritraj defeats Jason Jung 6-3, 6-4 
Indian tennis professional, Prakash Amritraj, prevailed over the local contestant, Jason Jung, in the initial qualifier of the Tiburon Challenger held at the hard courts of California, United States. The Indian veteran summed up
his straight sets 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday.
Both players had a sloppy beginning in the opening set and were unable to hold their initial serves. The American professional struggled hard to retaliate and was unable to strike the lead. Amritraj discouraged his rival by cashing
his serve in the sixth game and Jung was unable to bounce back. He smoothly journeyed until the end, terminating the set with a 6-3 score line.
The second set proved a tough challenge for the two contesters, as they desperately wanted to bag away the victory. The score levelled down twice in the fourth and sixth game respectively. The Indian broke Jung’s serve in the very
next game and nudged forward to attain a 6-4 win.
The 23-year-old American participant had a higher initial serve of 63 percent with just 22 of 35 points. He lost his lead, as he was just able to secure one of eight break points presented to him. The Indian contender had 57 percent
first serve precision but pocketed away 29 of 40 points. 
 
Jeff Dadamo shocks Fritz Wolmarans 6-3, 6-1
Local challenger, Jeff Dadamo, gave straight sets 6-3, 6-1 shocker to the South African native, Fritz Wolmarans, in the initial qualifying round. The duo encountered each other for the second time and the American professional
avenged his former loss.
Ranked 367th in the ATP World Tour Rankings, Wolmarans, started an average start of the opener. There was a series of break points for the major portion of the set. However, the score line levelled down to 3-all in the
sixth game. Dadamo battled hard to clinch the lead and broke his rival’s serve twice, which completely shattered Wolmarans confidence. Eventually, the American jotted down his 6-3 lead in the opening set.
In the second set, the 26-year-old South African professional appeared completely dormant. He was unable to hold his serve in the initial part of the second set. The American gleefully jumped forward and secured the first four
games, stamping his 4-0 lead. Further, he continued without facing any difficulty and concluded the match with a bread stick.
