Pramac Racing rider Loris Capirossi looking forward to a wet race day at Indianapolis – MotoGP news
Pramac Racing rider Loris Capirossi is expecting it to rain on the race day. Regarding the shoulder injury from the Assen round, he hopes a wet race day at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix will be of a lot of help.
Loris Capirossi said, “It is not easy to face one contest after another in these physical conditions. I did therapy on the shoulder for a week, conditions are better compared to Brno, but are not yet in top form. During the day of testing in the Czech Republic
we got to try different things.”
The 12th MotoGP round and second American event of the season will be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The first event was held at Laguna Seca, which termed Casey Stoner as the winner.
The Italian rider has suffered from painful injuries after he crashed during a practice session at the TT Assen event. The 38-year-old rider had to miss two rounds at Mugello and Sachsenring. He sustained an injury to his shoulder.
The Italian rider will test the new changes at Indy done during the Brno race weekend. It is one of his favourite circuits. The most helpful situation would be rain of the final day. The wet track tends to put little stress on the injured part of the body.
The bike manoeuvres easily than dry conditions.
Meanwhile his French teammate Randy de Puniet is motivated to comeback after Brno. After his crash at Laguna Seca, Puniet missed the first American race event of the season. While coming to second event at Indy after having rest and better physical condition
he is enthused to start the weekend.
Randy de Puniet said, “I needed a little rest after the Grand Prix in Brno. Now that I'm a bit better I want to try to get a good result at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. My goal is to finish the season in the best way, so it would not hurt to finish the
race in the top ten.”
The French rider said that his Ducati has improved a lot than previous races. Apparently, he feels good enough to achieve decent results in the race. However, Puniet is a shy rider on the IMS. Let’s see how he fares on the raceday.
