The head coach of the Italian national outfit has remarked that the Azzurri need to revamp their playing style if they are to exert their presence in the World Cup.
Despite the fact that Italy have been known to be slow starters in qualifiers and even during international tournaments, their head coach has asked them to pull their act together. He further went on to recommend that by looking at the way Spain have instilled
a new philosophy, they would be able to improve their chances of competing at the World Cup in Brazil in two years time.
Accordingly to Prandelli, the Italians need to work on employing a brand of football which sees them performing well on the footballing field as well as guaranteeing victories along the way. He remarked that they need to perform to the best of their abilities
to make further inroads in the footballing spectacle in two years time. The Azzurri have not had the best of starts to their World Cup qualifying campaign, as they drew a match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Malta-c2952, by two goals to nil.
The former head coach of Fiorentina went on to state his belief that the Italian national team is in dire need of bringing in new players to their squad, and remarked:
“After all, that is what http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 did after winning the World Cup. They changed 50 per cent of the side to target Euro 2012. It is only natural to run into some initial difficulties, but our objective has to be taking this Nazionale past that hurdle and into
the 2014 World Cup. It is not easy, but we must do it, because the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 squad has to be at least partially renovated. There will not be any new faces in the next call-ups because recently we have already brought in quite a few.”
Prandelli led the Italians to the finals of European Championships in the 2012 tournament.
