The Italy International boss insists that the recent red-card to the striker does not breech his unforgiving code of conduct; insists he will evaluate the player for Euro 2012.

The forward has consistently made headlines for all the wrong, often stupid and unprofessional reasons, and the demeanours previously earned him a ban from the Azzurri chief for the unethical behavior.
The Manchester City player has been omitted from the club squad as well, on many occasions, owing to the player’s on-field misconduct, and off field riots and unprofessional behaviour.
However, Cesare Prandelli has stepped-in to announce that the red card to the Italian striker was not due to blasphemy by the striker, but a part of the everyday game that can happen to anybody. He went on to assure that the attacker will not be facing any
of the ethics ban from the Azzurri manager ahead of the Euro 2012.
While talking to the press, the Italian veteran said:
“I saw his sending-off, but, this time, it was for a foul that was part of the game. I don’t think the code of ethics can be applied in this particular situation.”
However, the Azzurri manager went on to clarify that the exoneration does not guarantee him a place with the Italian squad, and insisted that his position in the upcoming Euro 2012 will be decided after a detailed analysis of the player and the situation.
“I’ll calmly evaluate his position when it comes to Euro 2012, but, I repeat, his dismissal was as a result of a phase of play.”
