Italian coach, Cesare Prandelli feels that Manchester City’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 can use the upcoming Euro 2012 to prove his worth to the world.
Mario Balotelli has been selected in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 squad and Prandelli feels that he has made the right decision in choosing Balotelli to be a part of his Euro 2012 teams.
Prandelli believes that despite all the antics that Balotelli goes through, he is still a world class talent and that he needs to realize this and look to behave more maturely.
He also insisted that the City striker could prove to the world that he is amongst the best, should he go on and put up some brilliant displays in the upcoming tournament.
When talking about Balotelli and his inclusion in the Italian squad, Prandelli is reported to have said: "In my opinion, he has to see it as an extraordinary occasion for him as it is for the national side"
"It is a time for him to be written about for what he does on the pitch and not what he has done off it."
During his stay with Manchester City, Balotelli has had his fair share of problems with the media. The striker has been in the press for all the wrong reasons and despite him performing rather well on the pitch, it seems like everyone is more interested
in interfering in the attackers personal life.
Despite his team finally looking to be stronger then it was a couple of years ago, Prandelli isn’t too confident about the upcoming tournament. However, he admitted that his side was able to produce a few surprises every now and then and should they stick
to their tactics, they could go on and come back rather happy from the upcoming European competition.
The Italian coach then went on to add: "We are not going to win the European Championship, but I like to say that the Italians know how to surprise,"
"I would like to show that the team has at least worked well and which is arriving at [Euro 2012] knowing it is experiencing a unique moment with a smile on its lips."
