The Azzurri have gone two games without a win in the European Championships of 2012, this has left Prandelli pondering over a change in formation against Ireland.
The match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giovanni-c14985 Trapattoni’s Ireland is a must win for Cesare Prandelli as their progression into the next round holds in the balance. The fact that a win might not be enough for qualification puts further pressure on
the Italians to win the match.

Reporters quizzed the former Fiorentina manager about the result of the match between Spain and Croatia, and the repercussion of a 2-2 draw between the two sides. Prandelli was of the opinion that there was no point in discussing
results over which they had no control over, he would try making sure that his side got the victory.
He mentioned that the Spaniards would not be playing for a draw and they would be going into the match in search of a win. The Azzurri national team head coach further went on to state:
“You already know what I think about the other game. It’s inconceivable that Spain, who based their image on entertainment, fair play and winning with spectacle can focus on playing for a draw. I say we have to think only of our
own match and we have what it takes to win.”
There have been talks of a reversion to the 4-3-1-2 formation by Prandelli, which saw the Italians progress to the European Championships. Prandelli was surprised how quick news spread of their change in formation during their
training ground routines. He commented:
“We hadn’t even finished the training session when the news was already out there. A team must be able to change and adapt both within a game and from match to match.”
The match against Ireland would be kicking off at 19.45 GMT, in Poznan at the Stadion Miejski. There has been much debate on the game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 ending in a 2-2 draw.
